INUIT ADVISORY COMMITTEE

To ensure Inuit voices guide engagement throughout the Iqaluit Water Power Project, Nunavut Nukkiksautiit Corporation has established an Inuit Advisory Committee (IAC).

The IAC provides advice on how information is shared, and feedback is gathered from Rightsholders, ensuring that engagement reflects Inuit values, priorities, and culture. While advisory in nature and not a decision-making body, the Committee plays an essential role in strengthening Free, Prior, and Informed Consent and supporting meaningful Inuit participation in Project decisions.
