We advocate for Nunavummiut to achieve a

cleaner, more affordable energy future

As the world moves to a sustainable, more accessible energy future, Nunavummiut must lead the transition forward in Nunavut.

With little to no policies in place to enable renewable energy development in Nunavut, Nunavut Nukkiksautiit Corporation (NNC) is advocating for fair, transparent, and responsible approaches to renewable energy development across the Territory.

Priority should be given to Inuit-owned/led projects ensuring that first and foremost, Nunavut Inuit benefit from renewable energy development across the Territory. Inuit-owned/led projects should also be compensated at a fair rate that truly reflects the avoided cost of diesel in Nunavut.
